On the morning of Sunday December 2, 2012, the JAL Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner landed in Lindbergh Field, marking the first non-stop service between Japan and San Diego.
This first non-stop international route to Tokyo represents Japan's recognition of San Diego as an international center of business and tourism. This flight service significantly shortens the travel time between the two cities, and is expected to attract more business between San Diego and Japan. By saving passengers' travel time from LAX to San Diego, the JAL direct flight aims to speed up international business in San Diego and lure Japanese tourists further south to enjoy the beaches and delicious Mexican food.
See you all at Terminal 2!
